Itinerary

Day 1Xiamen - Tianluokeng Earth Building Cluster - Yunshuiyao Ancient Village – Xiamen

Your private driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby at your chosen departure time. Sit in an air-conditioned and non-smoking private vehicle for a 2.5-hour drive. Upon arrival, you’ll have enough time to take a stroll in this picturesque Yunshuiyao Ancient Village where you will get to know the history and related culture in the area. Continue your visit to Huaiyuan Building. Huaiyuan Building is the most exquisite and best protected double-ring earth building. The most striking thing about Huaiyuan Building is that the ancestral hall, which is the core of the inner courtyard, is the place where the children of the family study “Si is the room”. It covers an area of 190 square meters. Then head to He Gui Lou which is the highest tulou house in Fujian. It indicates that He Gui Lou has more than 200 years of history as the traditional Chinese rammed earth construction technology had reached its crest. After that, a tasty authentic lunch will be offered to you. After lunch, you’ll head to Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters. Upon arrival, you will first go to the viewing platform to have a bird view of Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters. You will have some free time to admire the famous “Four Dishes and One Soup”. Don’t forget to take some stunning photos. Afterwards, explore the “Leaning Building”-Yuchang Building which is the oldest and largest round building known so far. You will see the teetering columns that seems almost to collapse but it has undergone seven hundred years of erosion and numerous earthquakes. After visiting the Yuchang Building, you will take a stroll in Taxia Village. You will have an inside looking of this typical Chinese Hakka village which is the home to many famous overseas Chinese and visit Zhang’s clan ancestral hall which is listed among the key culture relics protected under national level. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
