A leaf awning, floating through the vicissitudes of two thousand five hundred years; Hundred turn the river, the great name of flowing Yu water control; Several generations of literary masters spread the exquisite texture of ancient Yue culture; Yellow wine community drama, the interpretation of ordinary alley customs. This is Shaoxing, with a profound heritage, a 2,500 year history of cultural ancient city. And this morning we will make our arrival at this place. As a local special way of traveling in the water way, we will follow the custom to have a lake cruise in Black Awning Boat in the inner river of the town. Black Awning Boat is the spirit of the water village, but also the scenery of the water village.
After a typical water town style lunch, we can not miss the first Chinese Crossroad- Ba Zi Bridge, located at the Yu Shan Street, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, between Guangning Bridge and East Double Bridge in the historical and cultural district of Eight Character Bridge. It was built before the Jiatai period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1201 ~1204). The two Bridges are opposite and oblique, shaped like a figure of eight, hence the name. The rest of the afternoon time, we will go to Houshan to visit the peach flowers if it is in the spring time, or we can go to Lanting Pavilion to be close to Chinese Calligraphy culture.
Transfer back to Hangzhou later in the afternoon.
