Overview:
Situated in Huayin City, 75 miles (about 120 kilometers) east of Xi’an in Shaanxi Province, Mount Hua (Huashan) is one of the five sacred mountains in China and garnered the name of “The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven.” It is also home to several influential Taoist temples where several emperors of the past dynasties made their pilgrimages here, making Mount Hua the holy land of Taoism.
