Day 1Arrival in Beijing & Pick-up

Beijing Airport Parking Lot

Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide. 

Day 2Beijing

Attractions: Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City,Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven, Hutong Tour                                                                                                                            Meal: Not Included

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

This morning, your tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and take you to visit Tiananmen Square. You will see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

From Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.

Temple of Heaven

In the afternoon, you will see the Temple of Heaven with its unique architectures, where the emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.

Day 3China Great Wall Tour

Mutianyu Great Wall

This morning you will be taken to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car will be arranged. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. Lunch is on your own and your guide will gladly assist.

Niaochao National Stadium

Then drive by the Olympic National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest. You will see its unique appearance and take nice photos at a distance. Today’s last stop is a featured local market.

Day 4Beijing to Xian by High-speed Train

Visit the Summer Palace – the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.

Hutong Tour

Then a trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your day. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture.

Xi’an

In the afternoon, you will experience a 5-hour high speed train to Xi’an. Your local guide and driver will meet you at Xi’an North Railway Station and drive you to check in at the hotel.

Day 5Xi'an

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day’s trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Lunch is on your own, but your guide will recommend restaurants around the site according to your preference.

Small Goose Pagoda

In the afternoon, you will visit Xi’an Museum and then the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India.

Shaanxi History Museum

Visit the Provincial History Museum, which is a crucial window to display the excellent culture of this ancient city and China, as well as a connecting bridge for cultural exchange with the outside world.

Day 6Xi'an to Shanghai by Flight

Attractions:Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), Great Mosque of Xi’an, Muslim Quarter                          Meal: Not Included

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang)

The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).

Great Mosque of Xi’an

Next, you will visit the Great Mosque, a remarkable Islamic cultural relic, which perfectly combines Chinese traditional with Islamic architectural styles.

Muslim Quarter

Around the mosque is a lively Muslim bazaar, where you could explore for local snacks and handicrafts.

Guilin

After that, you will take a flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival, your local guide in Guilin will collect you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

Day 7Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo

Li River

Take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. Li River is the essence of the landscape in this area, especially the section from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is reputed as ‘A Hundred Miles Gallery’. The cruise ship will arrive at Yangshuo in about 4.5 hours.

West Street

After docking at Yangshuo, you will walk through the well-known West Street. Then you will enjoy the amazing rural scenery as we drive along the surrounding country roads of Yangshuo. En route, you will be invited to visit a villager’s home. After that, transfer you back to Guilin.

Day 8Guilin to Shanghai by Plane

Attractions:Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan), Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan), Seven Star Park (Qixing Gongyuan)                                                                                                                                          Meal: Not Included

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan)

Your Guilin sightseeing starts with the famous Reed Flute Cave, which is a 240-meter karst cave that has various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan)

Then you will head to the Elephant Trunk Hill. The shape of the hill is just like a giant elephant boozing water from the river with its long trunk, hence got the name. After that, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Seven Star Park (Qixing Gongyuan)

A visit to the Seven Star Park will conclude your tour in Guilin.

Shanghai

In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Shanghai. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel.

Day 9Shanghai City Tour

Attractions:Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), Yu Garden (Yuyuan), Huangpu River, The Bund (Wai Tan), Tianzifang                                                                                                                          Meal: Not Included

Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan)

This morning, Your local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will visit one of the four largest museums in China, the Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting artworks from ancient times.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan)

After that, explore Yu Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Around noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.

Huangpu River

Take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River – the mother river of Shanghai. As the symbol and a microcosm of the city, the river has witnessed the glory, humiliation, despair, and prosperity of Shanghai.

The Bund (Wai Tan)

Have some free time in the Bund area. Upon returning to the hotel, your guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

Tianzifang

The last stop is a traditional street named Tianzifang, where is full of a sense of culture and arts.

Shanghai

After breakfast at the hotel, your private guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport on time. We wish you have a pleasant journey home.
