Upon arrival in Guangzhou, you can take your own cab or airport shuttle to the hotel we have booked for you.
First, a short visit to the Six Banyan Temple. The temple has a history of 1500 years and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese Chen Buddhism, where you can have a brief understanding of Chinese Buddhism.

Then, visit the not-to-be-missed Chen Ancestral Hall, which is considered the largest, most beautifully decorated and best-preserved traditional ancestral hall in Guangdong Province.

Afterwards, take about 10 minutes by car to see the distinctive Sha Mian Island, which has more than 150 well-preserved old buildings of European style from the 19th century colonial period.

After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel lobby at the specified time. After that we will drive about 80 km and you will witness one of the most beautiful rice terraces in China, the Longji Rice Terraces. Longji terrace is a large-scale group of terraced fields, like a chain belt, from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, overlapping, high and low. Its lines are flowing, unrestrained and smooth; Its scale is magnificent and magnificent, and it has the reputation of “the crown of the terrace world”.

Along the way there are several distinctive Zhuang and Yao villages, you will visit the special Huangluo Yao village, people in this village kept long hair, where you can see women wearing red ethnic costumes with very long hair.

Afterwards, continue the drive to Ping An Village, a beautiful 600-year-old Zhuang village, and check in at a hotel located near the rice terraces. After a short rest, start to explore the amazing scenery. A half day detour, then back to Ping’an County for dinner and overnight.

In the morning, take the high speed train to Congjiang. Upon arrival at Congjiang train station, our guide and driver will wait for you at the exit of the high speed train and then start today’s amazing tour to visit two outstanding ancient Dong villages – Zhao Xing Dong Village and Tang An Dong Village. The two places are only 9 km apart, but have different characteristics.

Zhaoxing Dong Village is the largest and oldest Dong village. It is located in Liping County in southeastern Guizhou Province, and in 2005, China National Geographic listed it as one of the six most beautiful villages and towns in China.

Tang’an Dong Village is known as the most primitive Dong Village in China. It is located on a hillside, surrounded by paddy fields and lush plantations. It is smaller than Zhaoqing Dong Village, but has most of what Zhaoqing has to offer, except for the big songs, and it looks much wilder. Its biggest highlight is the stunning cascading rice terraces.

After the tour, drive to your hotel in Zhaoqing town and check in.

Today, you will travel from Zhaoqing to Rongjiang. Instead of driving directly to Rongjiang on the highway, you will take an alternative route where there are two amazing villages – Basha Miao Village and Zhanli Dong Village. The Miao have a larger population compared to the Dong. The two biggest aspects of their culture are dancing and singing, and different kinds of costumes.

Basha Miao village is like a hidden kingdom occupied by the legendary Basha Miao. It is famous for being the last gunner tribe in China. The most interesting thing about the village is that Basha boys cannot cut their hair until they are 18 years old, and they have a coming-of-age ceremony – shaving their hair with a sickle. Welcome.

Zhanlidong village is a primitive and mysterious village located deep in the dense forest. Besides the beautiful scenery and architecture, this village also attracts visitors to explore their “population culture”.

Today you will travel to Kaili, about 180 km from Rongjiang County. It is the capital of the Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Qiandongnan. Along the way there are three amazing villages to visit and very beautiful countryside to enjoy.

Datang Miao village is also known as Xinqiao village by the locals. It is a small but beautiful short-skirted Hmong village whose women wear homemade short skirts all year round, even when they are doing farm work. This tradition has been going on for over six hundred years.

Wujiamiao village is famous for its superb batik and embroidery skills, which are listed as intangible cultural heritage at the provincial level. The architecture and customs there are also very primitive.

Langde Miao Village, known as the Chinese Folk Art Village, is a very primitive and local Miao village that still maintains the ancient way of life of the Miao people.
