Overview:

This 10-day trip perfectly fits panda fan’s needs and expectation, which also present the most amazing part of China to you. You will have chance to get a closer observation of both adult pandas and baby pandas in Chengdu. If you like, we can even design a panda volunteering experience for you. This tour is also a culture-stuffed adventure. After your panda trip, you will travel to Beijing and Xi’an. Take in those World Heritage Sites, such as the Terracotta Warriors, Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace along the way. Day 1Chengdu Arrival

Welcome to Chengdu! Chengdu is well known as the “Land of abundance”. The seven-day tour will start from Chengdu, where you’ll discover more of Chengdu’s amazing stories. After retrieving your luggage, you will find your local guide waiting for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle and your guide will help you with the check-in.

Day 2Chengdu

Attractions: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, Wenshufang, Renmin Park, Jinli Old Street

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home to more than 100 Giant Pandas. Don’t miss the chance to visit the most adorable panda cubs in the panda kindergartens. You will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the bustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can experience local market and living style. Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street.

Day 3Chengdu-Leshan

Attractions: Leshan Giant Buddha, Baoguo Temple

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel, then be driven about 2 hours from Chengdu to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Leshan Giant Buddha which is the largest and tallest stone-carved statue of Buddha in the world.

After the Giant Buddha visit, drive about 45mins to Baoguo Temple, the biggest temple of Mount Emei at the mountain foot. It has several serene gardens with rare plants, a library of sutras and a huge porcelain Buddha.

Day 4Leshan-Chengdu

Attractions: Mount Emei, Golden Summit, Huazang Temple

This morning after breakfast, meet your tour guide and set out for Mount Emei. As one of the few World Heritage Sites of both cultural and natural heritages, Mount Emei is an enchanted combination of lush forest and cultural relics.

Take a cable car up to the Golden Summit which is the biggest highlight and very essence of Mount Emei. Next to the golden statue sits the bronze Huazang Temple which is the first temple established on Mount Emei whose history can be traced back to the 1st century CE.

Lastly, your private car is ready to transfer you back to Chengdu.

 

Day 5Chengdu-Xi'an

Attractions: Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Head to Da Cien Temple, a famous Buddhist sutra translation site during the Tang Dynasty. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the most famous building in the temple which was built by the famous Buddhist master Xuanzang. Take a wonderful stroll on the Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. This visit is followed by a relaxing wander around bustling and lively Muslim Quarter.

Day 6Xi'an-Beijing

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Hanyangling

Drive to discover one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world – the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, built by the first emperor of China Qin Shihuang to protect him in his afterlife.

Next is an educational visit to Hanyangling. Compared with the Terracotta Warriors, Hanyangling is much less crowded so that you can enjoy a quiet lesson in archaeology.

The rest of today is free for you until get escorted to catch a high speed train to Beijing, the iconic city and capital of China!

Day 7Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace

Hotel: Overnight in Beijing

Start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square, now the largest city plaza in the world. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will see one of the world’s five most important palaces – the Forbidden City, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties lived. Drive to Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China.

Day 8Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Sacred Way, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty.

It will more than live up to all of your expectations! Continue your trip to Sacred Way, a 7-kilometer-long passage leading to the Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. Then drive back to Beijing city and take a short stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to view its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 9Beijing-Departure

Attractions: Temple of Heaven, Hutongs

Hotel: No

Drive to the imperial site of the Temple of Heaven. Then experience the Beijing Hutongs – small alleys made by neighboring quadrangle dwellings. After Beijing tour, your tour is about to end.
