Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide.

In the morning take a train from Beijing to Qinhuangdao. After lunch, you will firstly have a visit to Old Dragon Head Fortification – which is not only an ingenious military system which extends into the sea, but also a superb scenic spot and the only place of the Great Wall where the beauty of the pass, the mountain, the sea and the surrounding scenery form an integral entirety. And then, begin your hiking tour from Old Dragon Head directly to Shanhaiguan Pass. This route is easy and only about 1-1.5 hours in total to hike. Small villages on the way will add joys of this tour. When finish hiking, A short drive will take us to the Fortress itself. After a one-hour’s visit of the Fortress and the Great Wall Museum inside. After that, drive you back to a hotel near the Wall for staying overnight.

Get up and enjoy the breakfast today. And then, begin to hike from the bottom of Jiaoshan Mountain directly to the Wall above. Hiking to north-eastern direction, the Jiaoshan Great Wall and the mountainous trail will be alternant in this route. The destination of today is a place which can enjoy a panorama view of the Mt. Longevity. A peaceful valley, a quiet forest, and crystal-clear creeks are all can be caught in the eyes. And then, go ahead to Sandaoguan Village which is lived by 35 families. Have a rest there and then be transferred to Dongjiakou. Stay overnight in a guesthouse in Dongjiakou this night.

In the morning, firstly climb up the mountain from Dongjiakou Village to see a well-preserve Great Wall tower called Cihou Tower. And then, back to the village to visit the ruins of the fortress and to chat with the villagers, who are the descendants of the builders and guards of the Great Wall, and who have proudly maintained this section of the Wall generation after generation, without government funding. In the late morning, we will start our 3-hour hike westward along the Dongjiakou Great Wall, stopping to have a simple lunch along the way. At the end of our hike, we will start our long 4-hour drive to the site of the Eastern Qing Tomb, where we will stay in a nice hotel nearby (two beds per room, with private washroom).

After breakfast, be transferred directly to Eastern Qing Tomb for a visit. Eastern Qing Tomb is the largest imperial grave complex with surrounding natural landscape in all of China. It is the home of 5 emperors and 15 empresses (as well as numerous concubines). After that drive you to Huangyaguan Great Wall and enjoy a leisure 1.5-hour hiking trip on this well-renovated Great Wall. And then, drive you to Jinshanling Great Wall area and stay overnight in a guesthouse at the bottom of the Wall.

After the simple breakfast, start your Jinshanling Great Wall hiking today. You will hike eastward from Jinshanling towards the Simatai Section, the scenery along is extremely fantastic! You will stop at Wuyan Tower on Jinshanling section. This tower ensures you a great view of Simatai Section. Then down to the parking lot at the Jinshanling and enjoy the lunch of today.
The afternoon Great Wall hiking section is Wohushan Great Wall which is needed a short transferring from Jinshanling. Wohushan (Crouching Tiger Mountain) Great Wall hiking may need 2 hours. Wohushan – so named because two distinct peaks resemble a pair of tigers, one looks up and the other bends down. Wohushan Great Wall is famous for its precipitous geography. Hundreds years passed, the old Wall without renovation becomes one of the most representatives for people to appreciate the original Great Wall architectural art.
When finish this hiking, you will be transferred back to the guesthouse on the bottom of Jinshanling Great Wall area and stay overnight.

Today’s hiking time will be around 5 hours/10km in total from Jinshanling to General Tower on Gubeikou Great Wall Section. On the hiking route, there is a military area which is forbidden to pass through. So you will bypass this part by going through a lovely village. When arrival the end of the hiking, you will be transferred back to Beijing. Have a good rest in the hotel in Beijing
