Also, Beijing has a long history. Many dynasties in China’s long history have established their capital cities. It embodies the essence of Chinese culture for hundreds of years. Day 1Beijing Arrival

Hotel: Overnight in Beijing

Today you can take train or plane from Hong Kong to Beijing (air or train tickets are not included). Our English-speaking guide will wait at Beijing airport. After a warming greeting, our guide will take you to our pre-booked hotel in Beijing. The rest of the day is at your disposal, you can explore this city on your own pace.

Day 2Beijing

Attractions:Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Tiananmen Square at first , the largest public square in the world (40 minutes). Stepping into Tiananmen Square, you will see The Forbidden City, one of the five most important palaces in the world, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived. the imperial palace of China from the middle of the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Today you are free to enjoy an authentic Chinese meal at a nice local restaurant.

After lunch, we will head to the Temple of Heaven (2 hours), a place where rituals were held during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In ancient China, rituals were an important activity where rulers would pray for peace and health for the people and a suitable climate for the country. After that, you will continue to visit the Summer Palace (2 hours), while the Summer Palace is a royal garden, to the hot summer, the ancient emperors would come to this place to escape from the heat.this is now a lively place where locals participate in traditional activities such as tai chi, dancing, kite flying, and water calligraphy. So this is another vacation resort where you can feel the living style in Beijing.

Day 3Beijing

Attractions: Thirteen Ming Tombs, Mutainyu Great Wall

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel around 8:00. Drive to the . Here are the tombs of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Afterwards you will visit the Ding Tombs, the only excavated tomb of the Ming Dynasty.

After Chinese lunch, head to Mutianyu Great Wall, where we will hike the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall is a huge military defense project against unexpected nomadic attacks on the Wall. It is a very spectacular attraction. Also the Great Wall is known as one of the eight wonders of the world. Finally, we will transfer you back to your hotel for a rest.

Day 4Beijing-Shanghai

Attractions:Shichahai Area, Yandai xiejie, Drum Tower, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Shichahai-Area.which will take 2.5housrs roughly – the old part of Beijing, and we will take you to visit a century-old courtyard. Then get on the bus and walk through the hutongs with Beijing characteristics. Get off at Yinjiao Bridge and walk along the 800-year-old Yandai xiejie to reach the Drum Tower.

Climb the 67-meter high two-story Drum Tower to see the large drum tower and get over view of the surrounding hutongs and courtyards, a epitome of Beijing life. After lunch, we will head to the Olympic Park to see the outside look of the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube from a distance, you can take some pictures if you like. Then, proceed to Beijing South Station for a 5-hour high-speed train ride to Shanghai. Our English-speaking guide will be here to greet you and accompany you to our pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum, Nanjing Pedestrian Street, the Bund

Begin with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, a selection of over 112,000 relics of Chinese
culture from the Paleolithic to modern times. We have many spot on today’s schedule and may not have too much time on here, so we will leave you some free time to explore this four floor musuem on your own. Then continue with a visit to the pedestrian-only Nanjing Pedestrian Street, a bustling street for walking, before heading to the Bund, one of Shanghai’s most famous waterfront areas and architectural icons. Today you can enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant of your choice. After lunch, you can take a one-hour cruise on the HuangPu River, along the skyscrapers and the Bund, after which you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 6Shanghai

Attractions: Yuyuan Garden, Tianzifang, Zhujiajiao

After breakfast, visit Yuyuan Garden – Yuyuan Garden is a famous garden in Shanghai, next to
Chenghuang Temple (Shanghai bazaar). Yuyuan Garden has a history of 400 years ago. The
garden architecture style of Yuyuan Garden is one of the highlights of Shanghai.

Then visit Tianzifang Street – Tianzifang is an art district, It was a residential area(old Shanghai Shikumen buildings) in the French Concession area of Shanghai. Now there are many bars, cafes, craft stores, design studios, galleries and boutiques in here. It has become a bustling commercial area in Shanghai. You can feel the local atmosphere of Shanghai when you walk in here, JuJMany local residents still live in the narrow alleys. Just to your awareness you need to take photos during your visit here, you are expected to respect the privacy of the residents.

After Chinese lunch, explore the water township, Zhujiajiao. This is an old water town, also known as the Venice of Shanghai. Filled with old buildings and aqueducts, take a boat ride down the river in Zhujiajiao, then walk through the commercial streets and small bridges to visit the beautifully laid out gardens and old houses. We will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 7Shanghai-Departure

It is the last day of this trip, we will transfer to airport or railway station for departure or free on your own and end your pleasant China trip. Have a good rest!
