Overview:
With our 6-day trip to Yunan, We will get through tow ethnic minorities which are Bai and Naxi people in this time. Enjoying their local delicious, going to biggest ancient town in south west of China, discovering the history of a strong but short existed ancient kingdom which was called Nanzhao in Shibao mountain, walking through the ancient trading market which is called Shaxi on the old tea horse road, or just bathing in the sunshine at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Today we will visit Nai Gu Stone Forest which is regarded as world natural heritage by UNESCO in 2007. It started forming in 270 million years ago because of water erosion. Then passing through several wild stone forests and villages of Yi resident, we are going to explore the Stone Village, which is called as Nuo Hei village. After finishing visiting the village, we will go back to Kunming. Finally we will go back to Kunming.

Today, we are going to drive you from Kunming to Dali. Erhai Lake will be the first destination for you. This lake is shaped like an ear, which means ear shaped sea in Chinese. Then we will have few stops to take photos near the beautiful Er hai lake.
Finishing that one we are going to visit Xi Zhou Old Town which is organized by BAI residents. In the old town we are able to explore the YAN Family’s Garden which is famous and magnificent. Next we will visit another special hand-make craft workshop to experience making original hand crafts called Xi Xiu, which is absolutely traditional and famous in China. Later you are able to have free time to walk around and feed your stomach with delicious local food and snacks in the old town.
After finishing your break, paying a visit to the Three Pagoda Temple which has more than 1800 years history will be a perfect choice for you. Finally you will be brought to the hotel to check in put your luggage. If you are interested in learning Dali’s traditional culture, Hanging out in the old town after having supper will be a super choice for you.

Today we will go to Shaxi ancient town, 139 kilometers (3 hours drive) away from Dali and 107 kilometers away from Lijiang (2 hours and 45 minutes drive). After breakfast we leave for our first stop, Sea Tongue wetland, to leave our footprints with Cang Shan Mountain and Erhai Lake. Then we will head to Shaxi old town. Shaxi old town is an important trading hub on the Yunnan-Tibet Tea Horse Road, which was included in the protection list of 101 endangered sites in 2001 by the WMF.
Shaxi is also an ancient town which has integrated business and Buddhist culture. In the old town, old ancient temples, shops, alleyways, houses, village gates and other ancient stuffs are well preserved. because there is no large-scale commercial development, the only surviving ancient bazaar, a bustling caravan stopover station on the Tea Horse Road, remains the same as before. Finally we will help you to check in and show you the local delicious food in this tiny town.

The grottoes and temple complex at Shaxi Shibaoshan are one of the best preserved treasures of ancient Buddhism in China and a national heritage site.Only 90-minute hike from Old Theater Inn, Shibaoshan grottoes are a stunning complex of temples perched on a mountain featuring waterfalls, many shrines and endless forested trails. Finally we finish our trip in Shaxi, then we are going to Lijiang.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is our first destination in Lijiang. First we will take cable car to reach the highest point in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Then we are going to mysterious crystal blue link in Blue Moon Valley. After that we will go to Baisha old town for visiting Baisha mural. If you are interested in artwork, the local small Embroidery School is also worth visiting. Everything here will slow down and you can enjoy your leisure time in Baisha. All the extensive legend and many myths about Naxi ethnic minority are important attractive spots for people coming here to enjoy their happy time.

When we finish our breakfast, our first attraction is Lijiang Dayan Ancient City. This ancient city is located on a plateau at an altitude of 2,400 meters. Built along rivers and mountains, the ancient city of Lijiang provides an invaluable sample for the study of old buildings. Finish your lunch, in the afternoon, we are going to Zhongyi Market and Black Dragon Pool. Black Dragon Pool is located at the foot of Xiangshan. Known as Yuquan Park, the swimming pool provides a paradise for birds, aquatic life and spectacular plants.
