Starting from Chengdu, you will drive along the most beautiful section of the longest national highway in China. Be amazed by the Dadu River Gorge and Luding Bridge. Then you’ll going to catch the most beautiful Autumn landscape of Xinduqiao, which is called “A Paradise for Photographers”. Drive slowly on the several kilometer long “Photography Gallery” with the most romantic soft sunshine in Autumn morning. After crossing the pass of the Zheduo Mountains.

Continue to Daocheng via Litang. Enjoy the grassland scenery on Kazila Mountain. Listen to the chant of the monks in peaceful Litang Monastery and make a wish in this “highest city”.  Visit Mount Haizi Scenic Area when you get close to Daocheng. Be impressed by the ancient glacier remains and the wild atmosphere.

Walk around the sacred Daocheng Tibetan pagodas and explore Daocheng old town in the morning. Take the short-route tour in Yading Nature Reserve in the afternoon. Be fascinated by the color of Pearl Lake and walk through the yellow forest to Chenrezig Mountain.

Spend the whole day taking the long-route tour in Yading Nature Reserve including Chonggu Monastery, the snow-capped mountains of Jambeyang and Chanadorje, Luorong cattle farm, Wuse (‘Five Color’) Lake, and the Niunai (‘Milk’) Lakes.

Accomodation: Overnight in Kangding

Travel back down to Kangding. Enjoy the scenery which you will never get tired of gazing at. You can stop wherever you like for photos.

Enjoy the scenery in Mugecuo Scenic Area in the morning. Listen to the famous Chinese folk song ‘Love Song of Kangding’ and be impressed by the snowy mountains, lakes, and forests of western Sichuan again before heading back to Chengdu.
