Xi ‘an, with a splendid history of more than 3,000 years, is listed as one of the four ancient capitals of the world, along with Rome in Italy, Athens in Greece and Cairo in Egypt.

Zhangye, one of the four counties of Hexi County in ancient times, takes the meaning of “breaking the arm of Xiongnu, ZhangChina’s Ye (armpit)”. Under the moisture of Heihe River, the second largest inland river in China, a vast oasis has been nurtured.
