Welcome to Kunming, the capital and largest city of Yunnan province! Upon arrival in Kunming (before 12:00), Your knowledgeable guide and driver will meet you outside of the airport and escort you to Stone Forest. The local people have a saying that “It will be a total waste without visiting the Stone Forest when you visit Kunming”. You can feel that Stone Forest is truly loved by local people.

Then head to visit Birds and Flowers Market. Then, roam around the Green Lake to enjoy the leisure lives of local people.   

Attractions and activities: Xizhou Town, Zhoucheng Village, Erhai Lake, Three Pagodas

In the morning, you will take the high-speed train to Dali (around 2 hours). Once upon, you will visit Xizhou Town first. Admire the Bai traditional building compound, taste the fragrance of Three-Course Tea and explore the Bai characteristic culture. Then transfer to visit Zhoucheng Village and the Bai people’s Tie-dying cloth workshop where you can buy some special souvenir with the Bai ethnic style if you want.

In the afternoon, take a cruise trip to Jinsuo Islet in Erhai Lake. On the Lake Erhai cruise, you can enjoy the green Cangshan Mountain and the Three Pagodas from afar and admire the birds and seagulls that fly on the lake. Afterwards, continue your trip to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Monastery, which is more than 1,800 years old and is located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, facing Erhai Lake. The Three Towers is a symmetrical triangle made up of three separate ancient towers. Then drive back to your hotel.

In the morning, you will first visit Dali Old Town. You can spend ample time strolling around Dali Old Town. The top attractions here are Foreigner’s Street, the Ancient City Wall and the Gate Tower.

Then, take a 2-hour car ride to Lijiang to visit Lijiang Old Town which is being reported as one of China Historical Cultural Cities in the whole world’s cultural heritages. Then pay a visit to Black Dragon Pool, the main headwater of the Yushui River which goes through the Old Town. After that, transfer to visit Baisha Old Town, which is an appealing traditional Naxi style old town.

On the last day of our trip, you will first visit the Baisha Mural which is about 600 years old and is a part of the World Cultural Heritage. Then, head to Yuhu Village that is located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. When you walk into this authentic and peaceful Naxi Village, you’ll see Naxi ladies dressing in traditional clothes, unique stone houses, kids playing, and a tranquil Yuhu Lake. Roaming leisurely around the village and then heading to the Former Residence of Joseph Rock, who was an Austrian-American Botanist came to Lijiang and stayed in Yuhu Village for 27 years and made huge research work on Naxi minority.

In the afternoon, taking a leisure walk up the Lion Hill then climbing up the 33-meter-tall Wanggu Tower which is considered to be the landmark building of Lijiang to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole old town and countryside scenery, as well as overlook the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance.

After the tour, your driver will escort you to the airport or train station to catch your flight or train to next destination.
