Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
This is the first highlight of Zhangjiajie, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, with a spectacular sandstone peak forest landform composed of more than 3,000 stone pillars of different shapes and sizes, known as the “enlarged bonsai, reduced bazaar”.

Yuanjiajie
Yuanjiajie is the main background of the very Movie: Avatar, located with hundreds of original pieces of “Floating Avatar Mountains”.(The major one is called:”Hallelujah Mountain.” the view there is really impressive like outer-space. No wonder, it’s rated as the most famous highlighted area in the park. The pillars here are bigger-sized than other areas.
Tianzi Mountain
Tianzi means “Son of Heaven”. In fact, he is a real figure who led the local ethnic groups to fight against the government army during the Ming Dynasty 500 years ago… The Tianzi region is a very old battlefield. Most of the attractions there are combined with the historical stories and legends of this venerable man. In addition to these, at the top of Tianzi Mountain, we can visually experience the most spectacular sandstone peak forest landscape in the park, characterized by its sharp and slender shape. It is a highlight of Zhangjiajie Scenic area.
Golden Whip Brook
Golden Whip Stream is regarded as the 1 of the most beautiful Streams in China. It’s 6 km long with a well-paved flat walkway at the bottom of valley, which takes us about 2 hours for walking between the 2 ends. it is also where we can see the bottom view of the Avatar Mountain Scenery,very different from the top.On both sides of the walkway, there are hundreds of different-shaped sandstone peaks erecting by a lovely stream,attached with plenty of interesting legends and stories given from locals.the other interesting part is,if lucky, we can see wild monkeys which would bring more fun and make you feel closer to the mother nature.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Tianmen Mountain,as the highest spot of Zhangjiajie, is regarded as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie “where you can walk on super-exciting cliff-path and glass walkway and see the whole city and beautiful countryside with bird’s view. What is more unbelievable? this single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records in its small body. It is a must-see highlight of Zhangjiajie.

It’s the place where your eyes would be dazzled. Through a 40min’s tour, we can enjoy a unique type of art called Sandstone Painting, which is invented by a very talented and creative local painter:”Li Junsheng”.he is really a respectable man with stories and faith of art. Most of his paintings are about the landscape,people and culture of his hometown.(Zhangjiajie and western part of Hunan Province.).so at the end of the tour, visiting this gallery can be a great conclusion for the trip we have experienced. we may see the places you have visited through this wonderful local art.
