Day 1Xi’an Arrival

Attractions: The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Small Goose Pagoda, Great Mosque, Muslim Quarter

In the morning, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby on time. Then this Xi’an 2-day private tour will start with a visit to the Terracotta Army Museum, the eighth wonder of the world. The lifelike warriors and horses, orderly arranged in battle formations, are believed to be the guards of the mausoleum of Qin Shihuang who is the first emperor in China.

In the afternoon, we will drive you back to downtown Xi’an to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda first, which was built in the year of 707 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and has been well preserved until today. It is a landmark of the fusion of Buddhist and the Han culture. Then, we come to visit the Great Mosque, a perfect combination of Islamic culture and traditional Chinese architecture. After getting out of the mosque, we will leave you some free time to explore the nearby famous Muslim bazaar, where you could taste many delicious local foods, and hunt for some unique and interesting souvenirs. Finally we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 2Xi’an Departure

Attractions: City Wall, Family Visiting, Shaanxi History Museum

Today, we will firstly drive to the City Wall Park, where you will see the locals doing morning exercises, like playing Tai Chi, table tennis, swords. If you are interested, you may even join them for fun. Afterwards, your guide will take you to ascend the City Wall, another landmark of the city. Built in the Ming Dynasty (around 14th century), Xi’an City Wall is the largest and best-preserved one in China. Standing on it, you will have a bird’s eye view of this ancient capital. The perimeter of the city wall is 13.74 kilometers (8.54 miles). You can either walk or experience cycling on the wall to explore the history of the city from every brick and tile. The bike rental fee is on your own and your guide is glad to assist. Then continue your Xi’an 2 day private tour to a local family home, where a home-cooked a la carte lunch is specially prepared for you. You will have a chance to taste authentic home-made Chinese foods and learn to cook Chinese dishes from the hostess.
In the afternoon, we will spend the time at the Shaanxi History Museum. There are more than 370,000 historical relics exhibited in the museum according to the time and themes, spanning from the prehistory to modern China. It is no exaggeration that you could trace the thousands of years of Chinese history here in hours. As the 2 days Xi’an private tour comes to the end, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
