Day 1Hong Kong Arrival

Attractions: No

Hotel: Overnight in Hong kong

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, you can take your own cab or airport shuttle to the hotel we have booked for you. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city on your own. Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city with easy access to all destinations.

Day 2Hong Kong-Beijing

Attractions: Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing Village, Stanley Market

Hotel: Overnight in Beijing

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and you will be escorted by your guide for your half day tour of Hong Kong.

First, take the famous peak tram to the Victoria Peak, the highest point in Hong Kong.

After descending from the peak, visit Aberdeen Fishing Village, an old traditional fishing village that is the other side of bustling Hong Kong.

Continue to Stanley Market, a great way to get away from the madding crowds. (If you prefer a soft, beautiful beach, you can go to Repulse Bay.)

In the afternoon, your guide will accompany you to the airport for your flight to Beijing. When you arrive, your guide will show you to the hotel in the city center to check in.

 

Day 3Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Summer Palace

We begin our exploration of the historical face of Beijing at Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. After Tian ‘anmen is the Forbidden City, one of the five great palaces in the world, a huge palace complex that is an appreciation of the architectural wisdom of the ancient Chinese people.Stepping into Tiananmen Square, you will see The Forbidden City, one of the five most important palaces in the world, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived.

After lunch, drive to the outskirts of Beijing. The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. We will spend a pleasant afternoon at the summer palace.If you want to take a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, you can take a short tour of Jingshan Park, where a watchtower will help you. After a midday break, drive to the outskirts of Beijing and enjoy a visual feast at the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved imperial garden in China. Take a walk among the ancient buildings, enjoy the blooming lotus flowers in Kunming Lake and the painted corridors

Day 4Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Bird’s Nest

The Great Wall at Mutianyu is today’s highlight. The round trip cable car is included. Our guide will show you some restaurants. You can choose some nearby restaurants for lunch. In the afternoon, on the way back to the city, we drive past the Bird’s Nest (National Olympic Stadium) and stop for photos at a close distance. Afterwards, you will enjoy some free time at the famous Xiushui Market.

Next, cross a 7km passage to The Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. You will see magnificent stone tablets made up of 12 groups of mythical animals and 12 officials. Then drive back to Beijing and stop at the Olympic Village to admire the famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 5Beijing-Xi'an

Attractions: The Summer Palace, hutongs

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

The first destination is the Temple of Heaven. Originally a place of worship for the ancient royal family, it has now become a place for local people to hold traditional activities and entertainment, such as tai chi, dancing, kite flying, water calligraphy and so on.

Then follow your guide to explore the original hutongs by rickshaw. You will have the opportunity to try your hand at Chinese paper cutting. Afterwards, you will take the high speed train to Xi’an and check in at your hotel.

 

Day 6Xi'an

Attractions: The Terracotta Army, Xi’an Museum, The Small Wild Goose Pagoda

The highlight of the day will be a visit to the Terracotta Army. At noon you are free to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant of your choice. In the afternoon, visit The Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi’an Museum. Enjoy the famous dumpling dinner while you enjoy a wonderful evening of music and dance performances from the Tang Dynasty.

Day 7Xi'an-Guilin

Attractions: City Walls, the Provincial History Museum, The Grand Mosque, Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby at the agreed upon time. The day starts with a leisurely visit to the Walled City Park and then continues with a wonderful experience of visiting the ancient city walls. At noon, you are free to enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice. In the afternoon, visit the Provincial History Museum and The Grand Mosque. Spend some leisure time in the lively Muslim Quarter. This is a famous commercial area of Xi’an where you can see some snacks and folklore products with local characteristics.

The rest of the day is free, you are free to make arrangements until we take you to the airport for Guilin. Upon arrival in Guilin, you will also be met by a guide who will take you to your hotel.

Day 8Guilin

Attractions: Li River, Yangshuo Town, Yulong River, West Street
Meal: Not Included
Hotel: Overnight in Guilin

The scenery of Guilin is printed on the back of the 20 RMB, which is enough to see how beautiful and stunning it is. Today, you will sail down the river from Mopan Mountain Pier to Yangshuo Town, where you will enjoy the crystal clear Li River and various peaks.

About 4 hours after the trip, the ship in Yangshuo town, check into the hotel. After a short rest, start your rural leisure tour on the Yulong River. Fresh air, beautiful mountains and rivers are sure to help you get the most relaxation. There are a variety of ways for you to choose, including biking, hiking, sightseeing buses, bamboo rafts and scooters. You can choose according to the requirement.

Cycling (physical requirements, sightseeing along the river)- Cycling to enjoy the river landscape and wilderness (route: Yangshuo – Jima – Shuidi Wharf – Worker-peasant Bridge – West Street; 1.5-2 hours).

Bamboo raft rafting (relaxing and fun, sightseeing on the river)-(Route A: Water Dike Wharf – Worker-farmer Bridge 40-50 minutes; Route B: Jima Pier – Worker-Farmer Bridge (about 1.5 hours).

Sightseeing Bus (the most leisurely and comfortable sightseeing bus on the road) – Take a leisurely bus ride from the island to the Gongnong Bridge for beautiful countryside views (about 0.5 hours). You can get off anywhere along the way and explore more of your interests.

This evening, you can take a walk in the ancient West Street and witness the collision of Western culture and Chinese culture here.

 

 

Day 9Guilin-Shanghai

Attractions: Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave
Meal: Not Included
Hotel: Overnight in Shanghai

After breakfast, bus back to Guilin. Visit the Elephant Trunk Mountain, the symbol of Guilin’s landscape. The large rock looks just like an elephant which is drinking water, so that it got this name.

Then it’s on to the next attraction, the Ludian Cave, a sprawling underground palace that glows with different colors. Inside are stalactites, stalagmites, stone shields and stone waterfalls of different sizes and shapes.

Finally, your guide will take you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival at the airport, check into your downtown hotel with your local guide. The rest of the day is free to explore as you please.

Day 10Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center, Nanjing Road, Bund

Today you have a whole day to learn about the history of Shanghai. Your first stop is the Shanghai Museum, one of the four major museums in China. We will prepare an audio explanatory device to help you understand the story of each of the museum’s exhibits in detail. Then you will visit Yu Garden, still a prominent presence among the countless gardens south of the river.

Next, you’ll head to the Shanghai World Financial Center, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city’s modern face from 100 stories up. Later, you will be transferred to another famous Shanghai landmark, Nanjing Road, a very lively and full of modern atmosphere. 

Finally, you’ll stop at the Bund, which began as a simple waterway for transporting goods but has now become one of Shanghai’s most bustling and important landmarks.

 

Day 11Shanghai-Departure

Attractions: Jade Buddha Temple, Tianzifang

In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the few quiet places in this busy city surrounded by modern neighborhoods and luxury homes.

Next, you’ll be transferred to Tianzifang, a tourist arts enclave transformed from a traditional residential area in Shanghai’s French Concession.

In the afternoon, your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to next destination or home.
