Overview:

This 10 day trip will let you discover some of China’s most intriguing destinations. Begin your tour in Shanghai to get a taste of this metropolis city. Then fly to Guilin in southern China for a relaxing Li River Cruise and a glimpse of village life in the countryside of Yangshuo. Continue on to Xi’an to see the world-famous Terracotta Warriors. Day 1Shanghai Arrival

Welcome to Shanghai! After retrieving your luggage.Our guide will wait at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel we have booked for you, which have prefect infrastructure.The rest of the day is at your disposal, you can take a warm rest or explore this city on your own.

 

Day 2Shanghai

Attractions: the Bund, Yu Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center

A full day sightseeing begins with the Bund to take in heritage buildings featuring architectural styles from Neoclassical to Gothic to Baroque. While walking on the streets full of various colonial architecture, the epitome of 19th-century Shanghai will come to your mind vividly.
The next stop is Yu Garden, a representation of traditional Chinese gardens. Walking through its decorated bridges, you may feel like stepping back in time to 400 years ago. Right next to the garden, you’ll get to the Yuyuan Market, where you can taste local snacks or buy unique souvenirs. Besides, you’ll visit a silk workshop to see how small cocoons are transformed into elegant silk. End the day with a bird’s view of the city from the 100th floor of Shanghai World Financial Center.

Day 3Shanghai-Guilin

Take the morning at leisure. You may get a unique view of the modern history of China inside the Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Center.We will leave you enough time for you to explore on your own.

In the afternoon, take a flight to Guilin (about 2.5 hours). Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel.

This evening is free for you to relax. You may take a leisurely walk to enjoy the city’s night view or try some local snacks as you like.

Day 4Guilin-Yangshuo

Attractions: Li River, West Street

Hotel: Overnight in Yangshuo

Drive 50 minutes to Zhujiang Pier to get on board for your Li River cruise down to Yangshuo. The cruise usually lasts about 4 hours, depending on the water level. During the cruise, you will be amazed by the picturesque pastoral views along the river consisting of karst hills, cliffs, fascinating caverns, luscious bamboo, and rural villages. Lunch will be served on board.

Arrive in Yangshuo at about 1:30 p.m., walk through bustling West Street, and then be transferred to your hotel in Yangshuo. The rest of the day is yours to rest at the hotel or walk around.

Day 5Yangshuo - Guilin - Xi’an

Attractions: the karst Reed Flute Cave

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

After breakfast, drive back to Guilin and visit the karst Reed Flute Cave, where you will see an “underground city” formed by a variety of stalactites and stalagmites decorated with colorful lights. Later, make a stop at a pearl store en route before flying to Xi’an. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 6Xi'an

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Xi’an Art Ceramics Factory, Muslim Quarter

The highlight of today’s journey is the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. Spend 2 to 2.5 hours there to marvel at the grand array of thousands of life-size clay soldiers, horses, and chariots, and see how powerful the first emperor of China – Qin Shi Huang was. After that, you will have a short stop at Xi’an Art Ceramics Factory. Driving back to the city area, you will have a chance to ramble through the Muslim Quarter and visit the Great Mosque.

Day 7Xi’an - Beijing

Another landmark in Xian is the Ancient City Wall, which dates back more than 600 years. This morning, you will take a leisure walk along the city wall, and you will get to see a local morning market, the locals doing morning exercise, and more.

Afterward, take a high-speed train to Beijing. Take a private transfer to your hotel for check-in after arrival.

Day 8Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Temple of Heaven

Start the tour today from Tiananmen Square, which witnessed the founding of the new China and many other important moments in the history of modern China. Facing the square is the well-known Forbidden City. Your guide will take you to explore the three main halls and palaces and introduce you to their used purposes and the stories behind them. Later, climb up to the top of Jingshan Park, where you will see a magnificent panorama of the Forbidden City.
After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven,where the ancient emperors worshipped the heavens and prayed for a good harvest and prosperity for the country, this is now a lively place where locals participate in traditional activities such as tai chi, dancing, kite flying, and water calligraphy.

Day 9Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall

Hotel: Overnight in Beijing

The most exciting part of today- the Great Wall (Mutianyu section), with a cable car up and down. Here you can do light hiking on the Great Wall to enjoy the majestic scenery. You can take some picture to memorize it.

After lunch, visit a jade gallery and the Sacred Road before driving back to the city.

Day 10Beijing-Departure

Your China vacation comes to an end today. We will escort you to the airport to catch your flight, Enjoy some leisure time until being escorted to the airport for your homebound flight.
