Overview:

On this tour, you’ll explore the capital of China, Beijing, and the historic city of Xi ‘an. Day 1Xi'an Arrival

Welcome to Xi’an! After retrieving your luggage, you will find your local guide waiting for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle and your guide will help you with the check-in.

Day 2Xi'an

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Little Wild Goose Pagoda, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque of Xian

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the morning. The Terracotta Warriors are considered one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century and one of the eight wonders of the world, which was built from 246 BC to 208 BC, lasting 39 years. It is also the first imperial tomb in China with a large scale, exquisite layout and well-preserved.In the afternoon, you will visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda, which has a history of 1300 years. Then, you will visit the Xi ‘an Museum, which has nearly 130,000 cultural relics related to ancient China and the history of Xi ‘an. Your last stop will be the Grand Mosque and the Muslim Quarter. In the Muslim quarter of Xi ‘an, you’ll find a lot of street food, so try it.

Day 3Xi'an-Beijing

Attractions: Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum, Stele Forest Museum, Xi ‘an City Wall

Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Da Cien Temple in the morning.Da Cien Temple was built by Emperor Gojong in memory of his mother Empress Mundeok. Then you will visit the Shaanxi History Museum, which has a collection of more than 370,000 cultural relics, including murals, paintings, pottery, coins and bronze and gold and silver articles. In the afternoon, you will visit the Xi ‘an City Wall, one of the oldest and best preserved city walls in the world. After that, you’ll visit the Stele Forest Museum, which was built in 1078 on the site of a Confucian temple to preserve the Confucian classics. The museum now has a collection of 3,000 stone tablets displaying calligraphy, paintings and historical records. It is a treasure of Chinese art and history.

Day 4Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Summer Palace

We begin our exploration of the historical face of Beijing at Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. After Tian ‘anmen is the Forbidden City, one of the five great palaces in the world, a huge palace complex that is an appreciation of the architectural wisdom of the ancient Chinese people. If you want to take a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, you can take a short tour of Jingshan Park, where a watchtower will help you.
After a midday break, drive to the outskirts of Beijing and enjoy a visual feast at the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved imperial garden in China. Take a walk among the ancient buildings, enjoy the blooming lotus flowers in Kunming Lake and the painted corridors.

Day 5Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Ding Tomb, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

After breakfast, head to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a relatively well-preserved and less visited section of the Ming Wall. You’ll take a cable car to the Great Wall, then hike to the best parts of Mutianyu and marvel at the amazing wisdom of the ancient people. (Note: If energy permits, walk up and down. It takes about 40 minutes to climb the steps. Please tell your travel consultant what you like.

After a short rest to the Ming emperor’s mausoleum – Ding Tomb. Your guide will introduce the feng shui of the mausoleum and take you to the underground palace for a closer look. Then drive back to Beijing and stop at the Olympic Village to admire the famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 6Beijing-Departure

Attractions: Temple of Heaven, Hutongs

The first destination is the Temple of Heaven. Originally a place of worship for the ancient royal family, it has now become a place for local people to hold traditional activities and entertainment, such as tai chi, dancing, kite flying, water calligraphy and so on. Then, back in the city center, take a time-filled rickshaw ride to Beijing’s hutongs, alleys of varying widths made up of courtyard homes.

Walk through the different hutongs, feel the charm of Beijing’s traditional architecture and historical changes, and visit the old Beijingers who live in the hutongs.
Your trip to China is coming to an end. We will drive you to the airport to your next destination or home.
