Day 1Shanghai Arrival

Hotel: Overnight in Shanghai

Upon arrival in Shanghai, you can take your own cab or airport shuttle to the hotel we have booked for you. Our guide will help with check in. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city on your own. Shanghai is a cosmopolitan city with easy access to all destinations.

 

Day 2Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center, Nanjing Road, the Bund

Hotel: Overnight in Shanghai

You will visit Shanghai Museum, one of the Four Best Museums in China. a selection of over 112,000 relics of Chinese culture from the Paleolithic to modern times. Then, transfer to Shanghai old town to visit Yu Garden (Yuyuan), a famous Southern China classical garden which was originally built about 450 years ago. Next, visit the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), “the Eye of Shanghai”, one of the most incredible skyscrapers in Lujiazui. Later, get to Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s earliest commercial street and one of the most popular current landmarks. Continue your walk to the Bund, the No. 1 attraction in Shanghai.

 

 

Day 3Shanghai-Chengdu

Attractions: Jade Buddha Temple, Tianzifang

First, you’ll pay a wonderful visit to Jade Buddha Temple, the site of the largest Jade Buddha in the world and numerous religious artifacts, ancient statues and Buddhist scriptures. Next, you’ll be transferred to Tianzifang which is touristic arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated traditional residential area in the French Concession area of Shanghai.

 

Day 4Chengdu

Attractions: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, Wenshufang, Renmin Park, Jinli Old Street

Hotel: Overnight in Chengdu

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home to more than 100 Giant Pandas. Don’t miss the chance to visit the most adorable panda cubs in the panda kindergartens. You will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the bustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can experience local market and living style. Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street.

Day 5Chengdu-Xi'an

Attractions: Jinsha Site Museum

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Take a significant visit to Jinsha Site Museum. It constructed on the Jinsha ruin site which reveals the unique bronze civilization of the mysterious ancient Shu Kingdom. (approximately 2900 – 3200 years ago)

 

Day 6Xi'an

Attractions: The Terracotta Army, Xi’an Museum, The Small Wild Goose Pagoda

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

The highlight of the day will be a visit to the Terracotta Army. At noon you are free to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant of your choice. In the afternoon, Take a wonderful stroll on the Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. This visit is followed by a relaxing wander around bustling and lively Muslim Quarter. Don’t miss the Great Mosque of Xian which is a fusion of Chinese culture and Islamic culture, a sacred religious site with huge ancient architectural complex, also a surprisingly quiet land away from the haustling and bustling Muslim streets.

Day 7Xi'an-Beijing

Attractions: Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum

Head to Da Cien Temple, a famous Buddhist sutra translation site during the Tang Dynasty. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the most famous building in the temple which was built by the famous Buddhist master Xuanzang. Next is an educational visit to the Shaanxi History Museum where you can ramble in the modern exhibition halls to appreciate historic relics such as porcelains, paintings, and currencies dating from the Zhou to the Tang dynastic periods (1100BC to 907 AD).

Day 8Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Summer Palace

Start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square, now the largest city plaza in the world. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will see one of the world’s five most important palaces – the Forbidden City, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties lived. After Forbidden City exploration, take a short visit to Jingshan Park. Drive to Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China.

Day 9Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Sacred Way, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty. It will more than live up to all of your expectations! Continue your trip to Sacred Way, a 7-kilometer-long passage leading to the Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. Then drive back to Beijing city and take a short stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to view its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 10Beijing-Departure

Attractions: Temple of Heaven

Hotel: No

Drive to the imperial site of the Temple of Heaven. Then experience the Beijing Hutongs – small alleys made by neighboring quadrangle dwellings. After Beijing tour, your tour is about to end.
