Day 1Arrival in Beijing & Pick-up

Beijing Airport Parking Lot

Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide. 

Day 2Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Back Lakes and Nanluoguxiang Alley

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the historical city of Beijing.

You will reach the Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Walk through the square and visit today’s highlight: Forbidden City , the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Hike to Jingshan Park, where gives a nice panoramic view of the Forbidden City at the top of Coal Hill.Lunch time at Shi Yuan Restaurant, Chinese local food, famous for the braised eggplant, vegetable ball, and diced chicken with walnuts in soya sauce.Visit Temple of Heaven, which was used to pray for harvest by the emperors. It is China’s existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven. Shopping time at Panjiayuan Antique Market and Pearl Market.Back to the hotel, en route you can plan for the night show or the Peking duck dinne with your guide and ask for suggestions.

Day 3Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, jade carving factory, Exterior of Bird Nest and Water Cube, National Museum of China

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Great Wall.Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, which section is more popular among foreign visitors. Upon arrival, you can choose to hike on the Great Wall, or take cable car up and walk around.
Lunch time at Xiaolongpu Restaurant, famous for the vegetable food, such as fried vegetables, dry-fried beans, sweet corn cakeDrive back to Beijing city, while you can take a nap in the car. Visit the exterior Bird Nest and Water Cube, the amazing architectures that built for Beijing Olympic Games. After that you will experience Chinese tea at tea house.
Back to the hotel, en route you can plan for the night activities, such as foot massage, houhai night bars and Sanlitun bar street.

Day 4Beijing

Attractions: Beijing Hutong, Summer Palace, Take high speed train to Xian

In the morning, check out from hotel and start to visit the last spots in Beijing — Summer Palace, the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. The Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake are regarded as the representative of Summer Palace. In the park, you could choose to take a boating trip on the lake, enjoying the beautiful royal garden view. Walk along the Long Corridor— the longest corridor in the world, admiring the extremely rich and prestigious paintings on the beams of the corridor.A la carte lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant on the way to Beijing West Railway Station to take high speed train (2nd class seat, duration: about 5-5.5 hours) from Beijing to Xi’an. Our guide will wait at the exit of Xi’an train station with our signboard and transfer you to check in hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the time.

Day 5Beijing - Datong

Attractions: Take high speed train to Datong, Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Monastery, Nine Dragon Scream

Check out from the hotel in the early morning and catch the early morning high speed train from Beijing to Datong in the morning. The Datong local is waiting for you at the train station exit and pick you up to start the tour in Datong.

Firstly drive you to the magnificent Yungang Grottoes, with 53 caves containing over 51,000 stone carvings of Buddha and Buddhist.Lunch time at local restaurant, enjoying the local Chinese foodDrive to Datong downtown for a visit to Huayan Monastery, the largest and best preserved monastery of the Liao Dynasty. Then a short stop in Nine Dragon Wall, the oldest and largest glazed screen in China.Drive you to check in the hotel and have a rest.

Day 6Datong - Pingyao

Attractions: Hanging Temple, Yingxian Wood Pagoda

Hotel: Overnight in Pingyao

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby, checking out and transfer back to Pingyao for about 5-6 hours.Drive from Datong downtown to Hunyuan County for a visit to the Hanging Temple   – the masterpiece of ancient wooden constructions.Keep drive for about 1 hour to Yingxian County, where we have a stop to visit Yingxian Wooden Pagoda , regarded as one of the three pagodas in the World. Lunch at local restaurant.Drive to Pingyao Ancient City. Upon arrival, drive you to the hotel and have a rest.

Day 7Pingyao

Attractions: Qiao Courtyard, Rishengchang Exchange Shop, Ming Qing Street

Enjoy your leisure time and have buffet breakfast in hotel. Meet at the hotel lobby.Firstly drive to the Qiao Courtyard to get touch with the ancient Jinshang (Jin area merchant) Qiao Zhiyong’s home – a powerful trading family with significant commercial influence.Drive back to Pingyao Ancient Town and lunch time at local restaurant enjoying the local foodHave a visit in Pingyao Ancient Town, including ishengchang Exchange Shop, the first bank which was established in 1643 in China. You can have a leisure walk on Ming Qing Street.

Day 8Pingyao - Xian

Attractions: Wang’s Courtyard

Hotel: Overnight in Xian

After a night rest in Pingyao, riding for Wang’s Courtyard in Lingshi County, which consisting of 54 courtyards and 1,052 rooms, the epitome of Oriental domestic architecture. Then be transferred back to Pingyao for a high speed train to  Xian.

Day 9Xian

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Bell Tower, Gao’s Courtyard, Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xian

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Ancient city.Drive to Terracotta Warriors and explore one of the world’s most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation. Shuttle bus will be arranged for your convenience.

Lunch time at Lanchi Restaurant, professional for buffet and local food, such as dim sum, noodles and Chinese hamburger.Afternoon visit the Bell tower, which is the largest bell tower in structure and shape and the best-preserved one in China. Then have a visit at Gao’s Courtyard, which is a wonderful choice for you to appreciate ancient residences and explore local culture of paper-cutting and shadow puppetry. Continue to walk around Muslim Quarter and enjoy your shopping time there and you can also challenge the various local snacks.Back to the hotel, en route you can plan for the night activities, such as Tang Dynasty Show with Dinner.

Day 10Xian - Shanghai

Attractions: Ancient City Wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and north square, Hanyang Tomb

You will have enough time to pack up and check out. Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and have one day leisure tour in Xian before leaving for Shanghai.Visit the Ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. Bicycle or sightseeing car will be arranged on the wall to go around. After that visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and you will have chance to watch the North plaza fountain show.

Special lunch will be arranged as dumpling banquet at local restaurant. After lunch, drive to Xian airport, on the way visit the Hanyang Mausoleum, the largest museum with largest floor space in China.Fly to Shanghai. Your Shanghai tour guide will wait for you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.

Day 11Shanghai

Attractions: Jade Buddha Temple, the exterior of Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Yuyuan Garden; Shanghai Old Street, The Bund

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start to explore the Modern city of China.Visit Jade Buddha Temple, which is famous for the seated Buddha, encrusted with jewels, which is said to weigh 1,000 kg.Then visit the exterior of Oriental Pearl TV Tower, while walking on Riverside Promenade Bingjiang Da Dao.

Lunch time for the local special food, Dim Sum and Steamed BunVisit Yuyuan Garden, which is a Chinese classic garden in city downtown, shopping time at Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road which is the earliest commercial street in Shanghai, you could look for some special souvenirs and silk product there. After that, enjoy a leisure walk along the Bund, famous for groups of buildings known as “a Gallery of world architecture”.Back to the hotel, en route you can plan for the night Acrobatic Show, especially the ERA show, which is one of the most popular evening entertainments in Shanghai.

Day 12Shanghai-Suzhou

Attractions: Tongli Water Town, Drive to Shanghai

Guide will meet you up at the hotel lobbydrive to Tongli Water town, where are famous for the traditional residences including gardens, houses and temples, built in the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. You will also experience Tongli Canal wooden boat through the waterways.

Lunch time at local restaurant in Tongli water town drive to Suzhou city after lunch. Stroll around the Pingjiang Ancient Street, an ancient cultural road which has been preserved for more than 800 years. Continu

Day 13Suzhou - Shanghai

Attractions: Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator Garden, Silk Factory

Start the tour to visit the real gardens in China. You will firstly have a sightseeing tour to Lingering Garden – which is one of the great four gardens. And then, take a short visit to Suzhou Museum – the masterpiece of I.M. Pei.Lunch time at local restaurant nearby Suzhou MuseumEnjoy your time at Humble Administrator Garden which is the largest garden in Suzhou. Afterwards, visit Silk Factory, a site for you to find out how silk is being made.Back to Shanghai and check in hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Free day at leisure and be transferred to the airport for return flight. We can arrange the Maglev train ride to Pudong airport if you are interested in, or we will drive you directly to the airport.
