Day 1Xi’an Arrival

Attractions: No

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Welcome to Xi’an, the capital of Henan Province. You will be picked up by local tour guide in Xi’an airport or train stations, and escorted to check in to your hotel in Xi’an downtown. The rest time is free for you. 

Day 2Xi’an

Attractions: Terra-Cotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Today you will spend a full day in Xian! 

The first site will be Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World”, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture, which is listed in the most significant discoveries of the 20th century. You can spend 2.5-3 hours there. 

After that, drive to Xian city and continue your visit to the exciting Ancient City Wall. It is the most completely preserved and the largest city wall in China, which was built for military defense in the ancient time. Since it is cycling the city, visitors can ride a bike around the city wall(optional). 

Later, come to Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, which is a strategically important building that marks the geographical center of the ancient capital of Xian, you can take an outer look at it. Muslim Quarter which is behind the Drum Tower, is the most famous food street in Xian. It consists of an Islamic food area, ethnic group shopping center, Great Mosque, and the living area of Hui people, with a history of more than 1,000 years. 

Transfer back to your hotel in the end.

Day 3Xi’an

Attractions: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Music Fountain Show, Grand Tang All Day Hall

Today will start with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Also known as Da Ci’en Pagoda, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 for keeping the Buss-hist Scriptures which were taken back from India by Master Xuanzang. Till today the pagoda has been standing here for over 1,350 years. 

Next, move forward to North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda to enjoy the famous Music Fountain Show which is the largest music fountain show in Asia. Walking around the square would be a perfect chance to fully enjoy local people and culture.

Later, you can continue your visit to the Grand Tang All Day Hall to appreciate the unique view. The design of the buildings and statues is in Tang style, showing people the ever glory of that great time. It’s busier in the Chinese New Year holiday when many activities with Tang elements are held by local amateur.

After the visit, you will head to Xian North Train Station for 1.5-hour high speed train to Luoyang. Upon your arrival at Luoyang Longmen Train Station, there will be the local driver picking you up and transfer to local hotel.

Day 4Xi’an - Luoyang - Xi’an

Attractions: Longmen Grottoes, Shaolin Temple

Today you will start the visit with Shaolin Temple & Kungfu Show. Shaolin Temple is well-known for the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Art. You cannot wait for watching the Kongfu Show performance as the saying goes “ All martial arts ( Kongfu) are from Shaolin.” The Shaolin Martial arts are an important part of the relics. Then, continue to visit the Pagoda Forest in the Shaolin temple. 

Finish the sightseeing, drive to the most famous Longmen Grottoes, which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art for more than 100, 000 stone statues here, varying from 2-centimeter to 17.14 meter high, and extending for about 1,094 years along both banks of Yi River. It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist Cave and rock carvings in China. 

After finished, transfer to the train station for your evening high speed train to Xian. When you arrive at Xian North train station, the local driver will pick you up and transfer back to your hotel.

Day 5Xi’an Departure

Meal: Not included

Today is free for you to relax until your tour guide and driver escort you to catch your flight/train to next destination. Your memorable Xi’an culture tour ends.
